Sydney City Council records
This
document seems to be for the transfer of two lots to John Peters (architect)
for the sum of £3,800.00. It would be interesting to see what “certificate
of title dated 1st May 1919 registered Volume 2931 Folio 156 and 157
and also all that piece of land situated as aforesaid and being part of the
land comprised in certificates of title dated 18th October 1918
registered volume 2884 folio 5191 and 192” and “three quarters of a perch”
actually referred to. It is interesting to note that one of the conditions is
that only dwarf walls up to 3 feet in height are allowed. Note that
Seems to be saying that John Peters sells some land to David Allan for £13,900.00 but retains a right of way over part of it (driveway rights of way on SP14919).

This is the strata plan of our neighbours at 6-8 Farrell. The surveyor’s needed this to complete their work so we might as well have the document available on file.
1979-11-00 Strata approval Richmond Hall
The approval of the strata
plan of Richmond Hall in 1979. On page 25 the city planner acknowledges that
‘this department has no record as to the erection of this building’. But he
notes ‘By design and construction the building was erected as residential flats
in the early 1920’s and the approved use is being maintained’. This includes
the land title (pp. 29-36). Land is part of 5 acres 2 roods 8 perches granted
to James Laidley on

These two documents refer to the application to build two balconies on the northern wall of lot 9 with French doors. The plans include specifications for rebuilding the lot 9 sunroom roof and “replace all existing timber posts in sunroom with new to eng. details”. There is no northern corner post shown on the sunroom plans, but there was one originally. The owner removed the corner post to improve the then harbour view.
1997-03-00 courtyard walls lots 1 & 2
The original plans for the walls around lots 1 & 2 courtyards. The gate in lot 1 wall was marked ‘water meter locate gate to allow meter to be read under gate...Bottom of gate to be 200mm clear of kerb for reading water meter’. The original intention was to put the wall hard up against the front path.
